Analyst sees salmon market slipping further

Salmon production is forecast to grow by 3.5-4.0% in 2025, resulting in a slight decline in spot prices for the full year, according to the latest research from market research firm Kontali.

This growth, the firm says, is driven largely by a recovery in Norwegian and European productivity. The difference in price achievement between the first and second half of 2025 is expected to be around €3 per kg (£2.53).
